our story

Wornall Road Baptist Church has been a part of the Brookside Community from the earliest days of Brookside.  This grand old church has seen many changes in Brookside, and undergone many changes as well.   Today we are beginning a process to completely renovate our church's ministry. We are in every since of the word planting a new church in a gracious old building.  Not unlike many of our neighbors who carefully renovate old Brookside homes, keeping the charm and character of the structure, but updating the home for the needs of today's family.

While we are well rooted in our heritage, our focus is totally on the future.  We are committed to becoming a church that is all about loving God  & embracing His Word and loving people & engaging the world.

Our Lead Pastor is John Mark Clifton.  In the past 25 years, John Mark has planted more than a dozen churches across the USA and Canada.  He is a graduate of William Jewell College and Midwestern Baptist Seminary.

Our Bible Study hour is 9:30-10:30 each Sunday morning and we gather for worship each Sunday at 10:45 am.
