Corporate Prayer

Sundays | 9:15-10:05am

Before our main service, our church gathers for prayer in the Fellowship Hall for 50 minutes. If you are visiting, we would be happy for you to join us. During this time, we pray for a number of things, including our church, specific life situations, ministry work, missions, and more. Alongside prayer, we hear regular updates about the ministry of the church and life updates from our members.

WRBC Kids

Sundays | 9:15am-10:30am

During our corporate prayer hour, we offer kids’ equipping classes for toddlers through middle school.

During the main service we provide a childcare option for people from ages 4-6 years old.

Any questions regarding children’s ministry at WRBC may be directed to our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Stephanie Chang.

Hospitality Groups

What is a hospitality group?

A Hospitality Group offers a chance to enjoy fellowship, discussion, and prayer for a set period of time.

What are hospitality groups for?

Hospitality Groups are intended to deepen existing relationships and make new ones among members of our church. Hospitality Groups provide an outlet for members to have a group of people they can spend time with, talk about life matters, and pray together. It differs from a Growth Group in that it does not go through a book and the focus of the group is not necessarily theological or biblical discussion. Despite the risk of oversimplifying, think of Hospitality Groups as more of “fellowship groups,” whereas Growth Groups are “study groups.”

Who can be a hospitality group leader?

Only members of Wornall Road Baptist Church may be a Hospitality Group Leader.

Who can come to my hospitality group?

Unless the group is limited intentionally (men, women, teens, etc.), all members of WRBC and/or those interested in joining WRBC in membership are welcome to attend.

How many meetings may there be?

There may be about 8 meetings spaced out over four months. We recommend doing a meeting every two weeks. The group may elect to continue for another four months. If so, please let Quinn know. The group should stick to a schedule of four-month increments. This allows people to exit when desired, as well as provide overall shape to the group.

  • January – April

  • May – August

  • September – December

Any questions regarding hospitality groups may be directed to Quinn Mosier (quinn@wornallroad.org).

Young Adults

The Young Adults ministry of Wornall Road Baptist Church brings together adults from college to late twenties, both single and married. We intend to meet together for singing, praying, and teaching to glorify God and strengthen community among young adults at WRBC. This ministry isn’t meant to be the center of a young adult’s discipleship or to pull them away from building relationships with others in the church, but simply to offer another opportunity for connection.

Upcoming Young Adults Worship Nights
