Life together at Wornall Road.
Here are some of the ways our church seeks to walk together in prayer, discipleship, and fellowship.
Corporate Prayer
Before our main service, our church gathers for prayer in the Fellowship Hall for fifty minutes. If you are visiting, we would be happy for you to join us.
During this time, we pray for a number of things, including our church, specific life situations, ministry work, missions, and more. Alongside prayer, we hear regular updates about the ministry of the church and life updates from our members.
WRBC Kids
During our corporate prayer hour, we offer kids’ equipping classes for toddlers through middle school. During the main service, we provide a childcare option for children ages four through six.
Any questions regarding children’s ministry at WRBC may be directed to our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Stephanie Chang.
Hospitality Groups
What is a Hospitality Group?
A Hospitality Group offers a chance to enjoy fellowship, discussion, and prayer for a set period of time.
What are Hospitality Groups for?
Hospitality Groups are intended to deepen existing relationships and make new ones among members of our church. They provide an outlet for members to have a group of people they can spend time with, talk about life matters, and pray together. A Hospitality Group differs from a Growth Group in that it does not go through a book, and its focus is not necessarily theological or biblical discussion. Despite the risk of oversimplifying, think of Hospitality Groups as more of “fellowship groups,” whereas Growth Groups are “study groups.”
Who can be a Hospitality Group leader?
Only members of Wornall Road Baptist Church may be a Hospitality Group Leader.
Who can come to my Hospitality Group?
Unless the group is limited intentionally (men, women, teens, etc.), all members of WRBC and/or those interested in joining WRBC in membership are welcome to attend.
How many meetings may there be?
There may be about eight meetings spaced out over four months. We recommend meeting every two weeks. The group may elect to continue for another four months — if so, please let Quinn know. Groups should stick to a schedule of four-month increments, which allows people to exit when desired and gives overall shape to the group.
Any questions regarding Hospitality Groups may be directed to Quinn Mosier (quinn@wornallroad.org).
